Creating this album has been such a journey… I started working on it back in September. It started out as just a couple of singles, but grew in ambition and scale as I realized how consistently emotional my new style was developing to be.

I’d say everything started clicking into place when I found indietronica music. As I listened to these incredibly niche, otherworldly, and sentimental soundscapes more, I think some of their production styles started bleeding into my music, creating this noisy, distorted blend of DnB and ambient experiments. 

Production-wise, most of this album is actually decently simple! The main elements I leaned on were reverb (obviously) and soft clipping distortion. There was also a lot of thought that went into the panning of the instruments, in an attempt to make everything as immersive as possible in the headphone space. Huge shoutout to @EspyoNG for helping out with the final mix!

That’s not to say the production was easy, and neither was implementing the story. The sound design was basic for some elements, but for some it was a struggle to get the instruments sounding right. But when all of the timbres blend together in these off-putting chord structures and concepts– you find something unique, maybe even powerful. And since I wanted something powerful, I worked to give each song a strong musical theme, to get the story flowing with clarity and passion.

What do I want for this album? I want to put something beautiful into the world that gives the listener a true experience of self. To provide a meaningful moment in this shallow and chaotic world, for you.

Following such a huge release, I'd love to take a moment to acknowledge those who have supported me all this time. You all make such an impact, more than you'll ever know.
