A few updates for anyone following my account!

1. I plan to put out a few playlists just showing everyone the kind of music I like to listen to, I’ve already finished one (Darker Flavors) and plan to create a breakcore one soon, bc it’s a lot of fun. You guys can go check it out if you want, lemme know what you think!
2. I actually remembered my song Forgotten (irony) and decided to replace its file, and it sounds a lot better now! Before the update, there were a lot of random high-pitched clicks, and the quality was just very bad. I also redid the fade-out, and I’m very happy with the result.
3. I have started working on a few other projects! One is a collab hosted by @LakieGD in which everyone is recreating songs from the mobile game Smash Hit! It’s been a really fun project so far that has tested my sound design skills and ear for melodies. I also designed a really nice snare during the process that has inspired me to make another dance-type track, and I even have another breakcore in the works!
4. I went through a bunch of tracks I deemed worthy and wrote the Geometry Dash ID in the description for convenience. And I’m already seeing the fruits of that, as Resolve was used in a front-page featured level called Future Tense (ID: 97875166)! This is super exciting, and hopefully just a small glimpse of what’s to come.
5. With school starting, I don’t know how my music production will be affected… I might not find the time to, and end up making less. I might feel the urge to spend more of my free time making music, and make more. So far, it seems to be the second one, and I hope that continues.
6. Thanking every single one of you for your support on the last news post, it feels so good to know that I have such a solid group of friends on this website who support me even on my worst days. I hope to stick with you guys and return the favor!

This has been a crappy last 3 days…

A while back, I submitted tracks for the NGADM and NGUAC, and before that, the AIM contest. The scores for all three of those came back at the same time and turns out I wasn’t anywhere close to making it into the first two, and I got an even worse placement than last year in AIM (although there were about 40 more people).

That has just left me feeling extremely discouraged… I’ve put so much time and effort into improving my craft, basically my whole life. Music is pretty much my “thing,” and has been for a long time. It has such an impact on my life and has always been my biggest interest. And yet I am STILL not good at making it.

No, I’m not going to quit.

But I need to take a short break. I put a lot of my self-worth on these tracks, and this really is a blow. I need some time.

It’s done! Inspired by 1f1n1ty (or @Onefin) and his beautiful musical compositions. I really tried to open the musical creativity vault for this one, and just see what I could write. This one isn’t as much about the sound design or anything as it is just the notes, the core idea behind them.
