I will never understand how people make these sounds in SunVox, but it never fails to impress me. Cool submission!

The guitar was not that difficult, because it was just some pulse wave with filtering, attached with a chorus.
The trumpet though... I have created that by accident, so I have no idea how it works exactly. Maybe it is due to my unstable C->Horus module inside the instrument that somehow creates a brassy sound due to some feedback, but after all, the expressiveness was all about automating the vibrato and dynamic, attempting to mimic how a trumpet player plays their instrument.
Just curious, what’s the BPM on this, like 208 or something? Love the atmosphere!

The orchestral elements fit the track very well, and I agree with the people below me in that the intro is VERY well done. Good work you two!
Well won’t you look at that! Glad you like it!
Congrats on 100 fans, keep making this awesome music! Chords are very good, love that little “wah wah” sound. The lead is awesome, especially love the little sliding notes. The transition to piano was unexpected, but welcome. Coolio songo!
I'm glad you like it!
I remember being really inspired by this track years ago. Amazing song, love that lead!
Thank you!!!
Interestingly, the lead was made with a simple supersaw, but what SunVox make it special is the way to express the note using sliding and vibrato commands. I tried to replicate the similar sound in other daws, I just couldn't manage to get the same vibe, not even fancy plugins like reaktor.
Also, the melody has some stories. There is a reason why I call the song name as it is because I got inspired from an obscure yet a dead forum where I found it accidentally, and the piano melody at the beginning of the track came in mind and stuck in my head for awhile which I found that would be a cool idea to create track for it.
I almost remixed this one when I first played it, but I wasn’t sure how to make it sound how I wanted (this was like two years ago…)
This is really good! That really chippy lead startled me a bit, but I got used to it. My favorite part is the cue balls. Very clever and it sounds super cool. Good work!
Thanks a bunch!! The chippy lead was originally a lot harsher pre-bitcrush so I’m glad it worked out. I’m also so glad the cue balls worked — it just makes sense imo!!
The sound design of this one blows my mind… how did you guys make this under the 64 kb limit?! Congrats on winning, and epic track!
Thank you!!!
There was a lot of optimizations, from removing unused modules inside some of the MetaModules, to some micro tweaking like replacing Amplifiers into EQ or changing all the internal modules into a single color, to save as many as KBs possible.
Also we have avoided to use any samples because they are poor at being compressed, so we did everything with synthesizers only.
So there you go, heavy optimization and not using samples are the keys to make the project so tiny.
I think maybe it’s SunVox itself that is slowing down my music production… still wouldn’t be able to compete with THIS speed, but maybe it would help
I don't think the program means anything, I think you can learn to write music quickly in any program
You don’t have to rub it in🥲
EDIT: that you can make 3 songs in one day and I’m barely going to get the same count in 2 weeks
???
I knew from those first few chords I was going to like this. This is so cute I love itttt!!
:D thank you sooo much!!! :]
