Really nice collab, super cool to see that you’re getting to sing over other peoples beats Datboi! Keep making awesome stuff like this!!

datboi7os responds:

Thank you so much!! I really love working with other artists so I decided to branch out and work with some of them!! <33

Jesus, you never run out of ideas do you?

These chords are so fun, and every lead is super satisfying!! This it’s like a chill version of Hyper Potions, which is a vibe I would totally like to hear more of!

ConnorGrail responds:

the chords are usually my favourite part of this genre, and they were super fun to come up with on this track. thanks for listening, hopefully some day I'll do more like this :)

I don’t typically get into atonal stuff, but I can appreciate how the lack of scale would give you a certain freedom to use the keys in new ways. This chaotic feel is exactly what you were aiming for. Every note feels deliberate, even in the most dissonant sections. Fittingly strange piece for madness day!

Solacitude responds:

It's really because it's madness day I thought this experiment did fit the vibe, or it would stay offline forever! But it makes me want to try again with more complex atonal exercises, it's really hard to not stick to a key!

The chaotic feel is quite profoundly rooted in atonality. I also go for lots of minor seconds, it gives a dramatic flavor. I was wondering how to call that mode, "chromatic minor"? I'm glad you caught the vibe I was going for! Thanks for the review!

Definitely sounds like the title, very creative piece that strays from your usual style in a fun way. This really shows your depth as a musician, your ability to write emotional and dramatic pieces while also mmaking fun ragtime compositions like this.

Solacitude responds:

Thank you so much! True that it steers away from the usual. Maybe I could integrate some stride in more compositions. It would avoid also to lose the ability by not practicing it enough, I love the sound of stride! Speaking of dramatic music, did I just craft a rag time that sounds sinister?
It's not the first, but it's quite rare :)
Thank you very much for the good words and review!

Absolutely LOVED the collab! There was so much ear candy and awesome sound design; you both popped off!

We’ve missed your music for the past 9 days but glad you’re back lol. I really like that harsh lead in the drops, it contrasts very well with the ambient sections! Everything is on point as usual, you’re a master G2… keep it up!!

Thank you very much, OVERSCORE! I really appreciate your words!

Dang this is masterful, amazing lyrical work, insane drums, and super creative guitar riffs. Love this! However I do think the vocaloid vocals sound a bit unnatural at times, especially when it flips up super high. Overall a really cool track though!

Those chords in the drop are so cool, you really have no idea which chord is coming next and that subtle unpredictability is very engaging to listen to. I like this!
