Love how smooth everything is, really cool sound design. The piano at the end was exceptional, I would have loved to hear it elsewhere in the track! This is worth a follow fs, keep it up!

AlphaLynxMusic responds:

thank you so much!

Would you mind telling me how you made such an insane break? I love how much attention to detail you put on it! Really cool track, interesting story behind it too.

vekoN responds:

thanks! the breaks are just the amen and a couple others i ripped from youtube music and quantized; they're being played using my timestretch slicer (the keys are mapped to individual parts of the breaks)

beyond that it's just a matter of having a good sense of rhythm and knowing your breaks

You’ve improved so much since I last heard your music, so keep it upppp!!
What you did well: everything falls in perfectly with your chords, and the instruments sound very nice together. It’s very clean, the mixing is pretty great! I like how the song builds until that climax at 1:15, then drops everything except the piano at the end- tried and true structure.
What could be better: the chord progression isn’t too sound, and the drum samples sound just kind of cheap and dry, especially the clap. I think the hihats could have also had some variation in volume, roll length, and maybe some reverb.
My overall opinion: this is a solid comeback to NG, a very interesting track that shows that you have really grown as a musician. Just keep at it! Study a bit of theory to get a better understanding of how to make natural but unique chord progressions, work on those drum samples, and keep making bangers! Happy to have you back on NewGrounds, SS.

SnipeshotGames responds:

woah thanks! i made this in like 3 hours because i was bored.
i definently agree that the drums sound kinda cheap and dry, and some of the chords couldve been louder. i may make like a remastered version sometime idk

edit: unfortunately i lost the project file haha, its on my old pc and i would have to plug it all up to get it

This is such an exhilarating dnb track! I love the leads throughout the whole thing, they truly add to the upbeat feel of this track. Love the warm sub bass, cool pads, and tight, clean mix as usual! Good luck in the final round of the Guac, I believe in youuuu!

EspyoNG responds:

Thank you so much bro! All the love and support is greatly appreciated! I have no clue how I managed to do all that in 16 hours...

The king of the front page is BACK! Actcore is a very complex genre, and it’s really cool that you’re still branching out and working on other kinds of music. Really solid track!
Also, congrats on getting in the final round of the Guac!

G2961 responds:

Thanks a lot, OVERSCORE! I am so glad that I was able to make it to the finals! And also thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!

Congrats on yet another deserved fp! That first part is so emotional, and the switch up being so late is really unique, in the best way possible. Keep it up!

datboi7os responds:

This is such a sick groove, good luck in the Guac!

supermelon-creations responds:

Aww thxx, and I will try my best!! (Also sorry for not responding to the msg yet, I've been doing pretty good, wbu? (U can respond with a msg if u want))

The rhythm is hard to follow in the first part, but then you bring in the drums and it makes sense. I actually find that aspect really cool! I think this song could have had some more elements tho, it feels a little empty. Man you’ve made so many songs, keep going!!

X-500 responds:

I know, because apparently the snare loop was not originally intended for this and has a slightly different rhythm. What have I done? Yes, I broke them into small slices and that more or less solved this problem, I’m almost there!
I'd be so kind, OVERSCORE.

Did you synthesize all of those instruments yourself??
EDIT: wow, that’s amazing, they all sound so GOOD! Your sound design continues to impress me.

vekoN responds:

i did!
EDIT: thank you so much :)
