As usual I’m blown away by your atmospheric abilities and fire beat. The lyrical depth is really interesting, and perfectly matches the vibe you have created with that atmosphere. I don’t really know much about writing lyrics, but I’ve been super impressed with what you’ve done up to this point, keep it up!!

Thank you SO much, this review is so motivating and will definitely help me keep going!! I'm really glad you like the lyrics, I spend a lot of time trying to come up with interesting topics that rhyme well and it takes alot since English isn't my main language, I really appreciate your review!! <33

I love how you combine very calm beats and piano notes with those super unique growls, it’s a really interesting contrast that does not get old. The voice acting was also fun, I like how you incorporate that into your music. Not a lot of people are doing that right now. Keep it up!
P.S. nice “trombone,” Quarl.

Quarl responds:

Cinematic samples used to be the thing to do.Amongst dnb producers Pendulum and Diesel Boy used to go all in on their thematic intros. Diesel once hired Optimus Prime to talk about Dungeons and Dragons for a mix c':

Very fun idea, I like the chord progression and melody. Your lead sounds awesome! The chords could use some rhythm, to not sound as plain in my opinion. But the main problem here is the lack of high frequencies in the mix, and the excessive volume of the vocal sample. I trust that you’ll keep improving and making cool music!

itsmevxrto responds:

this was meant to be a simpler track and i did that to give it a lo-fi ish kinda feel. ty tho!

Very clean and solid atmosphere, perfectly captures the title. The mixing is fine, but the drums are a bit lifeless like @vekon said. A bit more reverb on some of the melodic elements could have also sounded neat. Hope this sees use in the death match!

Dynamic0 responds:

Thanks for a review! I am personally fine with the drums, although I understand it may seem lifeless. And there is less reverb than I expected there will be. Thanks for your support!

The atmosphere is very well done, you definitely have something to be proud of there! The sound design is executed very well too! I love how dark the ambient sections sound. The lead at the end is a nice way to climax the track, and the chords sound cool. Really neat track that had a lot going for it, I think you can probably pass this round with this one!

SpeedoRH responds:

I appreciate your review! As you heard from the track, I just went for a very atmospheric tone this time. I am glad you enjoyed it so much!

Statistically, 1 in 4 people make it to the Finals, so that doesn't seem impossible. I hope you're right!

This sounds soooooo good, holy hell. It’s so smooth and clean like everything you make. Love that saturated bass, it really fills the track. Super cool beat, glad you’re feeling better!

datboi7os responds:

Thank you so much!! This review really means a lot! <33

Drum N Phonk??? Sounds interesting, but maybe a little empty. Could’ve had a bit more variety as well, but that can slide considering it’s an ID/experiment. I would want to hear more of this this style!

VaeArt responds:

First thank you second i agree its empty and well i make no promises this was a fun style to work in but i dont really have any more music ideas in mind maybe 2 lyrical pieces but thats really it

Writing in complex time signatures is so fun and rewarding! This piece is absolutely beautiful, I love how the track just flows… I wish I could play like this, keep it up!!
EDIT: I have a song that I did recently in 15/4, the only reason I got through it was because I just subdivided it in varying ways throughout the whole thing. Challenging, but fun and rewarding when done right!

Solacitude responds:

It surely is a very interesting exercise, it opens the door to new ideas. I often add weird time signatures in my pieces, but rarely sticking to an odd one like this.
I had to record a couple hours to get very little material, 13/8 is hard on the brain 😀
I couldn't ask for more than another composer telling me it's beautiful 😊
Thank you very much for the kind words!

There are no words to describe this, the atmosphere is just so on point. I am fully immersed in these sounds, well done. Congrats on getting the opportunity to compose for a movie, I think you nailed it!

LordAndiso responds:

Thank you soo much!! :)

This is the most funky, upbeat thing I have heard today! I love the soloistic melodies you have interspersed through the entire track.

LordAndiso responds:

I am glad that I funked your day up with happy vibes! :]
