Hurray, more irregularly scheduled bullsh*t! This is some fun chiptune, certainly has a mischievous feel. The uncommon time signature also lends it a cool flow. Overall a cheery and simple theme!

You are so consistent at writing cool lyrics and producing these wonderfully clean atmospheres in your songs, it’s so impressive!! I love how immersive the production is here, especially the pads. Really good work, keep it up!!
Love the creative rhythm in the chords, gives the whole track a unique flow! The synths sound very futuristic. This song has a good intensity as well, matching the mood of the title. And that ending… very unnerving, very interesting. Keep it up X-500!
Hi again, OVERSCORE. Great thanks!
Definitely sounds fitting for an arctic video game, you nailed it thematically and compositionally! This one is especially clean as well, so really good job on that as well. Every single element fits perfectly into the sound! And it loops great as well. Awesome job here, this is incredible for your first time using a DAW!
Thank you very much! I didn't actually mix or master it (just the volumes), so I'm glad you consider it clean :D
This stays on theme perfectly, all of the sounds sound straight out of an arcade game! Unfortunately, said sounds are very crowded, and the mix suffers because of this. There’s just a lot of loud elements fighting for the listeners attention, and it’s a tad bit disorienting as a result.
Still a fun track, just keep working at it! The music we take directly affects the music we make— and you have some AWESOME music taste. You’re going to make bangers for sure!
Thank you man :)) And yes you're right, i definitely need to work on making my songs sound less crowded and make better use of eq and stuff like that
This is some KILLER house, everything about the beat is danceable just like this genre is meant to be. Aka, you’ve executed it PERFECTLY! And while the drops go crazy, my favorite part is actually the second verse! Those supersaw arps create such a powerful atmosphere. Really epic track!!
Thank you man! I've been trying out more simple, yet filled sounds and techniques recently, and I think I nailed it on this one. Mainly, I want to try and get my tracks to sound more commercial, to one day get myself signed to a big label, like possibly FHM or even UKF.
The subtle bassline is a really nice touch, in fact I’d say EVERYTHING about this song is subtle in the best way. You fill the space in creative ways, like that clever ringing sound especially. The drums sound pretty cheap, but they work for this one. I like the chord progression change at the end, that was a great way to close the track. Really groovy track, Pentalogue!
Thank you for your appreciation! How do you suggest continuing the track? It's not finished yet.
Thought I’d stop by to review one of your tracks, bc it’s been too long!
I really like this acidic sound design, it really gives this song a unique mood. That grainy, experimental percussion is possibly my favorite element you’ve used though— that’s what gives this track that “heavy,” hard-hitting feel. I cannot overstate how cool the drums are dude, you hit it out of the park with that!
Keep it up, and as always I admire your dedication to the NewGrounds community!
You’ve established such a nice groove here, between the laid-back drum beat, the piano, and all of the other cool elements you intersperse throughout the song. In some spots, the piano composition felt almost TOO spontaneous, almost random, but you always brought it back on track.
Now here’s the advice I always give to everyone: I would totally recommend experimenting with the panning! Feel free to fill up that stereo field, you can really take this song to the next level with just a few panning adjustments!
Thank you so much for the review! I really appreciate it, and I'll keep the panning advice! ;)
The speed changes are a really cool way to keep the it engaging! That acceleration creates INSTANT intensity. Certainly a chaotic sound! Theory-wise I didn’t hear too much that was “wrong” for lack of better word. The echo on the drums was a fun touch! I feel like this could be a lot fuller though, there’s a lot of space just waiting to be filled with other instruments!
You’re improving so quickly though, keep working!
